Welcome aboard
"TIC TAC"
formerly Heather
Lo N Slo is now owned by son Colin, who is enjoying the fruits of my labor on Georgian Bay. Sad to see her depart but the good news is I still get to visit and spend time aboard on Georgian Bay, at
Hindson's Marina
.
Spring of 2008, Brenda and I purchased a new Amateur radio station: Heather. Heather( now Tic Tac) a 43 foot Albin double cabin trawler that was based in Washington NC. We spent July aboard and carried out some needed repairs then went for a short cruise to check it out. Very hot in North Carolina in the summer! We really enjoyed Washington and the folks at Capt Sam's boatyard. Lots of seafood to eat and as usual met boater friends. If you need a place to haul and work on your boat in this area give Sam a call.
In November 208 when the weather was a lot cooler, I returned and did some more work, like installing a new refrigerator, the ham radio tuner, painted the bottom, three coats on the teak, fixed a ground loop in the gfi circuit and as ususal a long list of small items that took boat time to repair. Now it is too cold in North Carolina and I headed home to four feet of snow.
Update September 2009: We have decided on a new name for the boat. Not sure why the previous owner named her Heather but we have been exploring boat names for some time . This past week Brenda found out she is going to be a Grandmother. Marcy played a trick on Brenda, handing her a small box and saying she found it in a store and though Brenda would enjoy it. In the box was a pregnacy test stick saying " PREGNANT". Marcy and Chris are expecting their first child. Brenda told me it is about the size of a "Tic Tac" so what better name for a boat. Heather is now "Tic Tac".
We are back in the water in January 2009 and on our way south to Florida with crew Trev and Joan.
